In the 1969-1970 NHL season the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers set a not just a bizarre NHL record but a bizarre sports record. What was it? And in that same season in the series between the St Louis Blues and the Los Angeles Kings something happened that has not happened since then. Both these things would be impossible to happen in today's game.

The problem is the two guys who know hockey are not here anymore. The 2nd one is the Blues defeated the Kings all 8 times they met that season in regulation time. It can't happen again because NHL teams do not play each other 8 times a year anymore.

I did not grow up with a pro hockey team in my area. The Cincinnati Stingers don't count do they? I was pretty young when they were around. I do follow ECHL as the Cyclones are there. I've been to many of their games over the years.

Ken. It's an NHL question. The answer to the first question is all six games ended in a tie.
