In 1969 the first year of divisional play they were 24 teams in baseball. Since 1969 as of today 21 of the franchises have won the World Series. Who were the three franchises that have not won the World Series in that time 1969 to today? Expansions teams after 1969 do not count.

Well, if you are counting from 1969 till now, two of them have to be the San Diego Padres and Montreal Expos.
I smell a trick question here, or I'm not understanding it. I think the Seattle Pilots were started in 1969, then turned in the the Milwaukee Brewers. Whom has not won a world series. Now, if were not counting the Montreal Expos to equal three, then I would have to think were talking about the Cleveland franchise.

Ken. San Diego Padres is right. Seattle Pilots - Milwaukee Brewers is right. Montreal Expos is wrong because the FRANCHISE did win the World Series as the Washington Nationals. Cleveland is right. The last time they won the world Series was in 1948.
