Not being familiar with him, I looked him up. I couldn't find anything special from is unimpressive stats. He played what...2 weeks in the majors? I saw he was hit by a pitch in his 12 at bats. Could a player refuse to take base in 1931? I don't know barkeep. Just guessing and now curious.

Yes, it was January 8, 1901. Still not getting it. Was he the first player born in the 20th century to make it to the pros?

Yes Ken. You got it. There were two players born on January 1, 1900. So I could not do first player of the 1900's.

Wow, wasn't sure if I had that one right. But you are correct barkeep in that 1900 is technically the last year of the 19th Century.
