If you could change the outcome of one sports game what would you change? It has to be a game played in your lifetime. I would change the 7th game of the 2001 World Series and have the Yankees win their 4th World Series in a row. OH!! Two more outs!

Without a doubt, game 7 of the 1992 NLCS. Those Jim Leyland teams almost deserved to make a World Series (or Leyland at least). I say almost because nobody actually deserves to win. The Pirates big three of Bonds, Bonilla, and Vanslyke just never upped their games collectively. You have to make the plays. Therefore, if you fail, it's on you. Still, the heart break of a hit by Francisco Caberera, and the winning run scored by Sid Bream was almost too much to bear. They had lost the two prior years as well but, this time, it was well known that the team would be broke up and this was the last hurrah.
Easily my most devastating sports memory.

But at that time you had the Penguins to make up for it.

But at that time you had the Penguins to make up for it. And the Steelers were pretty soon after that, but that loss was just haunting. Cabrearra's career batting average was below 250, I believe. Similarly, for added misery, Sid Bream couldn't out-run my grandma. It was just brutal.
